We are not perfect in this regard and in the world of fast High Street fashion it is very difficult for anyone to claim even an average record on environmental issues.

What we try to do is to use as many locally produced materials as possible in each product & its packaging. For example, the Indian sandals use leather produced locally in Jaipur & the Nepalese felt slippers use boiled wool from local sheep.

We also try to use natural materials such as leathers tanned using vegetable extracts instead of chemicals as well as Jutes, cottons, silks, wool felt & wood/rattan. All from sustainable sources where applicable. For example - any wood we use must be certified by a government agency.

Packaging has as much recycled paper in it as possible & we try to limit the amount of plastics & man-made materials used.

Our primary aim is to design products that are first & foremost stylish & desirable for the WHERE customer & can be supplied in commercial quantities. We design with the producers capabilities & available materials in mind but if it is right to include components they do not have then we will arrange for them to be supplied from the nearest available market.
